to the Metolius River Basin and the Metolius Recreation Area. Take a

back in time and enjoy the scenic beauty as it was seen by the early
visitors
to the area in 1911. When Camp Sherman was first settled, it was named
by the Sherman County Oregon wheat farmers.

| You can enjoy the out of doors by biking, hiking, fly fishing, skiing (winter time) or wildlife viewing by simply walking out of your room or your RV. We are but a short 150 yards from the beautiful Metolius River, with additional lakes and streams abound. There are countless lakes and streams within a short drive from Black Butte Resort. Feel like hiking? The climb to the top of Black Butte is both inviting and invigorating and the view is panoramic. Or just relax. We do not have TV's or phones to disturb you (pay phones are available a short walk from the motel). |
